RULES of the Scholarship Program
The Purple Pam Foundation is pleased to announce its 3nd annual DJ Scholarship contest for 2024. This contest is for Ladies (18+) who want to learn the fundamentals and the 101 of djing from the Best!
The scholarship is for the the incredible Pyramind Institute in San Francisco, CA / Class taught by Dj Audio1.
Applicants can start applying October 1st through Dec 31st, 2023 and the winner will be Chosen of January 2024!
Rules
1. You must be a woman over the age of 18 with a High School Diploma or GED (send a photo ID and proof of HSD).
2. You must live in the LA Surrounding Area or the Surrounding Bay Area
3. Submit a 1 to 2 minute video of you putting your best effort djing use turntables or a controller.
(Can not just stand in front of the equipment and hold the crossfader - Get down with your bad self)
4. Submit an essay of no less than 500 words of what Pam the Funkstress meant to the Dj community and Hip Hop.
As well share why you should be chosen for this particular Scholarship.
5. Send a photo or headshot for us to use for social media.
6. Indicate the DJ school for which you are submitting the application / The Beat Junkie School of Sound (Glendale, Ca) or Pyramind Institute (San Francisco, Ca).
7. Include your phone number and social network / IG & Facebook etc.

Important rules information for Contestants
Applicants will be picked by the Dj Platurn of Oakland, & Dj Zita of B.A.S.S, and more of Pam's Colleagues.
We will only have 1 winner per school-- one winner for The Bay Area. The scholarship is non transferable nor can it be redeemed for cash.
You must live in the surrounding area of the school you are applying for.
Winners will be filmed or photographed from on occasion to be monitored and to check on your progress. If you are awarded this scholarship, you agree to fully comply with all filming and/or photographing of your work and agree to being filmed/photographed.
Winners grant permission to the Purple Pam Foundation and Pyramind Institute to use their name and likeness to promote themselves, the Foundation and the schools.
Winners agree to follow the rules, procedures and guidelines of the school they are to attend and must complete a form acknowledging they will adhere to all rules and guidelines of the respective schools.
Winner must provide their social media links and a current mailing address, email address, and shirt size.
If for some reason we cannot find a winning applicant between the date set forth, we will continue the scholarship search until a winner is found for the school.

Donations for Dj Scholarships
We are currently seeking for funding to help many students for 2024. It's $900 per student for a dj 101 course, $1,800.00 to fund 2 students. If you are a donor, we give you complete transparency. You will receive information of which student you are sponsoring as well as which school they will be attending and their graduation date from the dj program. The class is an 9 to 12 week coarse, that is quarterly and begins when the student and the schools schedule permits/both parties work out the start time.
We feel that this scholarship program embodies the mission of Pam's Life Mission to empower women and give knowledge of entrepreneurship and a skill music trade.
